Atty. Fortun is my non negotiable and I was happy that we had the chance to work with him and his team.

Before the wedding:

My previous blog about him:

http://jaykatewedding.blogspot.com/2011/05/engagement-shoot-with-rf.html

RF is the fastest person to reply on my queries among our wedding suppliers. He sees to it that he would reply within 24 hours after I sent him an email. He was also soo patient with my queries.

On the wedding day:

His team arrived at the hotel 30 minutes earlier than the agreed schedule. He and his team were full of energy. He's got so many creative juices. He taught me how to pose like a royalty. LOL. ako ang napagod sa kanya haha! My entourage and our relatives who were at hotel also enjoyed the photo shoot  during the preps :P

RF was also very strict with time, and he spoke with authority, which was good because it made us aware of it. Hindi kami nagcram-everybody was already made up an hour before the ceremony and none of the entourage was late. Yey!

I also find him and his team very humble. RF is famous but never demanded for a V.I.P. treatment. He didn't mind kahit dumapa dapa sya as long as he gets the angle that he wanted. And since we can no longer afford to include our suppliers to the headcount for the guest meals, we just ordered crew meal from CCME and he was more than enthusiastic para kainin yun. It was really a bliss working with them.

I remember the photoshoot during the preps at the hotel he told me to chin up and act like a princess and look at the people who were at the hotel like a commoner so I could get the right pose. And "commoner" became the word of the day. LOL.

Our Prenup AVP and Onsite Fusion Presentation

Ohhh we love them both! Few days before the wedding RF asked me to send him the songs for the prenup avp and fusion presentation. I just sent him the titles and he downloaded them by himself. I really appreciated it because I already had no time to do the downloading. I was actually worried na iba yung song na gamitin nya, I understand that he was also busy and baka wala na din syang time mag download so I prepared myself na pwedeng hindi yung gusto kong song ang ma-play. But surprise! =)

After a week we already received the copy of the photos. And they were all great! It literally took me 2 days and gave me a migraine in browsing them all and choosing which ones to upload in facebook. It was soo stressful really, especially that I wanted to upload all the 7,000++ images! And speaking of it, up until now I am still not able to choose 200 photos for the album layout. Sorry RF.. :(

Engagement Shoot with RF

It's already 6 days after the shoot and I'm still on a cloud nine. :)

Couldn't help but be grateful to all the people who worked with us behind the camera:

1. To tita Grace and Tita Lyn, for helping me find the right dress/gown, shoes and shirts.

2. To Jay's family: To Ate Kaye for the tips and for helping me prepare the clothes and accessories (with ate Raech), to Jay's mom and dad for helping us book the venue and for the last minute car-hunting, and to ate Raech who was with us during the shoot **naging alalay ko, dyahe..**

3. To Ted, Jay's friend, who became our runner and water boy. Hehe..

4, To Tin and her assistant, Rachelle, for making me beautiful during the event. Side Story: I cried over the THOR movie a night before the shoot. Jay, on my birthday had promised to take me out on a dinner and movie (Thor) date when I get back to Philippines. We really had a tight schedule, but I was still expecting and looking forward for that 'date' but he instead bought a Fast Five movie ticket. I was disappointed because everybody was talking about Thor and I felt I am 'out' because I don't have anything to share :( so I was really looking forward to watching it, and it will be even more special because I will see the movie with him..but..**sighs** So I cried..haha! Anyway he tried to make up after the pictorial but we needed to wait about 2 hours for the next showing. I was already tired then so I suggested after getting myself gratified at timezone's coin dozer that we just go home. Anyway he gave me a foot massage until I fall to sleep.. sweet!
 ^^

Okay let's go back, haha! My eyes was really puffy when I woke up and I wanted to cry again because I was sure that I won't look good in the photos but Tin was able to make magic and make eye bags disappear. I really love my look! And I love her! She was really a heaven sent! =) She even stayed for about an hour during the pictorial and did some retouch on my makeup.

5. To kuya Ed, RF's assistant/lightman..contrary to RF, I never heard kuya Ed's voice..hehehe..

6. To the expert himself, Atty. Raymond Fortun. He really made us comfortable during the shoot. His energy is infectious. He was also so humble and very down-to-earth,  notwithstanding his profile. He has to shoot under the scorching heat of the sun but I never heard any complaint or grumblings from him. He also has a lot of brilliant ideas, resulting to great outputs. Thank you soooo much attorney, I so love all the photos! =)

7. To the Lord, for giving us the strength and endurance, for blessing us with such great team and for ironing out the last minute glitches. It wouldn't have been successful without Him. ALL THE GLORY BELONG TO HIM! :)

On a Cloud Nine

I was in high spirits when I saw our surnames under Raymond Fortun's November 20,2011 calendar slot. I still couldn't believe until now that we are really getting married.

Realities are indeed better than dreams..couldn't be happier.. ^^

Photographer - Checked!

stacie and pupphin looked good with the bagtags =)
When Jay told me he's going to propose when I get back to Philippines  (this was supposed to be a surprise, leh!  )  I became excited that I began to search for possible list of suppliers already. But let me justify, I've been a lurker (sometimes active ) in Girltalk for few hundred years already and I would sometimes flick through the Engagements & Weddings section of the forum. I observed that most of them were preparing a year or two ahead. That's why I insisted to Jay that I should start preparing if we plan for a 2011 wedding.
But long before the proposal confession, I had already one supplier in mind - Raymond Fortun. Does it ring a bell? Yes, he's the famous and the high profile lawyer. He was one of Erap's lawyers during his impeachment trial. And he became my bestfriend Hazel's crush (way back in our highschool sophomore years). I actually admired him too. He seemed to be so intellectual (well, he really is!) and I liked the way he handled the fiasco - I mean that time almost everybody hated him - nah not him, people's fury for Erap was at least extended to him. But I later on learned when I was leafing through his site that he was actually a Cory Aquino's die-hard supporter.
When I joined the weddings at work group I was thrilled when I found out that he was voted and awarded the 'Best Supplier of the Year' for year 2009. Just wondrin' where did this guy got such incredible knacks. I also wanna go there and get some! haha!
Knowing such kind of achievement, I became hesitant to throw him an email regarding his photography rates. I of course expected that we wouldn't afford him. But I really adored his works and was even fancying that I am one of those bride-to-be's on his site. So I emailed him.
He replied after few hours. His rates are quite pricey, but pretty much reasonable. But I was surprised that it was lower than I have expected (see, there's no harm in asking!). And what delighted me was he's giving a special discount (a whopping 9k discount!) for reservations made during the bridal fair (last Otcober 15 - 17 at SM Megamall). So I straight away asked Jay to go to the fair and pay the reservation fee. Of course as what I've expected he turned down the 'going to a wedding fair' idea. But I explained that we could get huge discounts if we'll book all our wedding suppliers during wedding fairs. In the end I was triumphant. I sooo love my fiance! =)
Jay was also handed with 2 bagtags (one for me and one for him) with the words written 'I am an RF bride/groom'. He was the very first supplier that we booked. We haven't personally met him yet (Jay paid the reservation fee to his teammate) but we're very much sure we are in good hands. ^^
