Monograms for my co-W@Wies

HENRY  ♥ IVY

When I posted in the forum that I'll be making monograms for the first 3 w@wies who will send me a private message I was amazed with the overwhelming response from them. I'm just a photoshop noob but I was happy that more than ten people took an effort to email and trust me. And I couldn't resist, I couldn't even say 'No' to them..Sis Ivy wasn't the 4th w@wie to send me a PM, it was sis Rashi actually. But when I saw her wedding date, which will be 2 months from now, I panicked! So I decided to prioritize her (I'm sure sis Rashi would understand - we're all siblings anyway.) It was helpful that she sent me the designs she wanted.

Motif: Purple and Green

ROSS  ♥ANNE

Sis Anne was the third person to send me a PM. I was excited to do their monograms because we have the same wedding motif. It took me long though to think what design should fit to their theme - Iconsumed about 2 hours googling what does modern vintage means. The words are new to me. :p

Motif: Midnight Blue with touch of pink
Theme: Modern Vintage

JED  ♥ RUTH

Sis Ruth was the second one to send me a private message. I love cartoons and kids so I really enjoyed doing her monogram. And I'm starting to love yellow as well. ^_^

Motif: Marigold Yellow, Black and Gray
Theme: Kids at Heart

BERNARD  ♥ KRISLYN

To give back the 'benefits' I am getting from being a W@W member, I fin'lly got the courage to offer the group a free monogram to the first 3 w@wie who will pm me. Sis Krislyn was the first to send me a message. She sent me a sample design she's been looking at so it didn't take me long time to figure out the style that I will execute for her.

Motif: Salmon Pink
Theme: Badminton

FRANCIS  ♥ MARLENE

'May Amethyst purple pala?' - T'was the first question that popped up in my mind upon learning her wedding motif. I didn't even know the shade of lime green (google proved me that it is also at times unreliable. haha!). I did 4 revisions editing the color. I should go back to grade one amfff! But I enjoyed doing sis Marlene's monograms, first because I can relate with their theme, second because she's also a La Castellana bride and third because her motif includes pink! :)  I also learned a lot of photoshop tricks and techniques while doing this.

The last monogram is my personal favorite, I hope she likes it too. =)

Motif: Amethyst Purple, Fuchsia and Lime Green.
Theme: travel

JEFFREY  ♥ NAYDEN

Naden posted in w@w her dilemma about getting a monogram supplier. I offered to do some monograms for her since I am not going anywhere during the holy week. She wanted her monograms in circular shape.

Motif: Teal Blue and Silver
Theme: Christmas/Winter

GERDEN  ♥ NINA

Sis Nina is my first customer. Hehe. I offered to create a monogram for her when she emailed me inquiring about the application I used. Thank you Nina for having a faith in me! =)

Motif: Red and Purple

♥ Our Cartoon Image: An Early Birthday Gift ♥

If I remember it right, it was 4th week of February when a w@wie sister, Anna, offered a free cartoonized (caricature-like) couple photo. I am a blessed bride-to-be to have been availed one of the slots. This morning, I was surprised to receive an email from her with the attached cartoon images as I am expecting her to send them earliest by May. Even while writing this blog I am still smiling because I did not imagine the cartoonized photos to be that beautiful. Sis Anna has really an eye for details, and I love everything about the photos! I can't wait to share this to Jay when he goes online.

Thank you sis Anna for sharing your talent and for causing my first Monday smile! ☺ ☺ ☺

I sent her these photos:

Here's her output. Aren't they lovely?

Monograms - Please Help Me Choose!

Though I now enjoy creating monograms I have to move on because there are still a long DIY list in queue.
Here are the monograms I like most. Can you please help me pick which is the best? TIA!

Jay's long overdue assignment

I asked Jay to write about our meeting with our florist, Mang Boy Mahusay, but he kept on delaying it until tonight.. I asked him to complete this task as a punishment for **i also don't know**.. anyway here you go..

February 6, 2011

Morning pumunta kami ni fiancee sa divisoria along with my sister to meet yung mananahi ng gown. And then after makita and tumambay sa cluster mall sa Divisoria humiwalay na kami para pumunta sa Dangwa but not before buying my medicine. Nung sinabi nya 'oo' sumakay agad kami which is a mistake dahil umikot pa yung jeep sa Quiapo bridge which took us 30 minutes. Nakalabas kami ng Quiapo 30 minutes more. It also took us another 30 minutes para makadating sa Dangwa.

Pagkatapos kumain, nag ikot ikot muna kami. Then pumasok kami sa warehouse looking place. Tapos nagpaquote ang aking fiancee sa isang stall (Angel of hearts daw). Medyo mataas yung quotation so umalis na kami. During that time nagtetext na sila ni Mang Boy. He gave us directions and then nagmeet kami sa may harap ng stall nya. Nagdown na kami and then umuwi na.

AN INTERVIEW:

Jay: Hindi sya mukang florist. Mukha syang tagabantay lang ng stall. Okay naman pala syang kausap.

Kate: Satisfied ka naman sa flowers?
Jay: umm-umm (he meant 'yes').. sa mga pinakita nya. although hindi pa sya nagrereply sa text ko about boutonniere.

Kate: Satisfied ka naman sa price?
Jay: Oo naman, i'm pretty much satisfied with the price beb, it's cool.

I'm flying back to Philippines in 28 days! =)

Hey friends, how are you doing? It's almost a week since my last post and i kinda missed blogging haha! I've been busy with work this week so I had no time to blog during office hours. Tee hee! But anyway, I am set to go home 28 days from now (yey!) for the prenup, detailing with Hizon's, gown measurement and of course I'll be home for Jay's birthday. Sweet! ^_^

I'm anticipating an eventful month of May so I expect much of my energy will be used up. But it's cool. I know I am ready for the full hurdle of activities, God is the strength of my heart. ^_^

To give you an idea, aside from an expected additional tasks on my workload, here are my planned activities next month:

First Week:
-RJ will visit us here in Singapore (1 - 6). Gala galore!
-KL trip with Mona and RJ  (7 - 8)
-Start to do STD Cards

Second Week:
-My birthday on the 9th!
-I'm flying back to Philippines on the 13th!!
-Gown Measurement and Jay's Birthday on the 14th

Third Week:
-Detailing with Hizon's on the 15th
-Prenup on the 16th
-Going back to SG on the 17

**of course Bible study with my caregroup every wednesday and Church day on Sundays are not out in the list
**Company dinner and dance on hmmm..some say 5th, another colleague said 13th, and someone else told me it'll be on the last week. Anyway Carol, the executive secretary of our department, has already asked me to do the video for the performance. I'm not setting my hopes high since all groups performed well last year and I'm sure they'll do better this time, but I pray we'll bag the first prize again. =)

Last Week:
-Save the date card distribution
